Refugee Action campaigns against detention, against the Illegal Migration Act, against Rwanda. Published taxpayer-funding audits put £16.8 million against it for 2021–25. It sits on Home Office stakeholder forums with the contractors. Service delivery (advice, resettlement support) is the vehicle; the political product is opposition to anything that would shrink the caseload. Asylum Aid (£837,000, 2020–24) and Asylum Welcome (£2.9 million, 2021–25) sit on the same pattern: grants plus litigation. Care4Calais, which operates on the French coast, had no Home Office funding in the 2025 PQ — it is not on that particular payroll. The sector is.
